Dhule (Maharashtra): The Government should effectively implement order passed in connection with denigration of Deities through the medium of crackers. A representation to the above effect was recently submitted to Dhule and Chopda (Jalgaon Dist.) administrations.

Mr. Pankaj Chaudhary, Mr. Dinesh Datrak, Mr. Rajesh Jadhav, Mr. Bhanudas Gawali, Mr. Amol Dapse, Mr. Ramsing Pardeshi, Mr. Ganesh Murtadak, Mr. Ram Kanade, Mr. Ashok Gurav and Mr. Chetan Jagatap of HJS were present on the occasion.

Highlights : Mr. Shekhar Pardeshi of Cracker manufacturers association made an appeal to all retail cracker sellers not to sell crackers with pictures of Deities. While submitting the representation to police sub-inspector at Chopda, BJP’s taluka Dy. chief Mr. Atmaram Mhalke, taluka President Mr. Pradip Patil, Mr. Yashwant Chaudhary, Bhalchandra Patil, of HJS and Mr. Ashok Shetty of RSS were present. Police gave promise that a notice would be issued to all cracker sellers.

Crackers are burst during Diwali period on a large scale; there are pictures of Hindu Deities printed on the cover. When such crackers are burst, pictures of Deities are blown to pieces and scattered everywhere which are then trampled by pedestrians resulting in Deities denigration. HJS has been fighting for the past 8 years to prevent such denigration. The Government has issued order to that effect; but the denigration of Deities taking place through crackers could not be curbed so far.
