Thane: HJS members demonstrating against Communal Violence Bill |
Ambernath (Thane, Maharashtra): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) staged demonstrations against the proposed Communal Violence Bill at Shivaji Chowk near railway station. The demonstrations received an overwhelming response.
Mr. Vijay Khare, the city-President of BJP for Ambernath, Vice-President Mr. Eknath Chaudhary, general secretary Mr. Manoj Kandoi, Mr. Hasmukh Arya, Mr. Vasant Patil, Mr. Santosh Adak, the President of RSS for ‘Kreeda Bharti’ Konkan region and Mr. Vijay Adak, Mr. Subhash Salunke, the zonal-chief of Shiv Sena, Mr. Bhaskar Rokade belonging to Narendra Maharaj Sect, Mr. Prasdad Vadake and Mr. Mahesh Mulik of Dharmashakti Sena, Mrs. Alpana Joshi of Sanatan Sanstha and Mr. Ajay Sambhus, the district-coordinator of HJS for Thane were present on the occasion.
Demonstrations against the proposed Act were staged in Thane outside railway station on West side in which organizations like VHP, Sanatan Sanstha etc. with similar ideology, took part. Mr. Santosh Adak of RSS said, “Decline of Congress has now started; therefore, it needs such kind of laws to get votes. All of us should unite and oppose this Act.” Mr. Vijay Khare, the city-President of BJP said, “In olden times, there were demons who used to trouble sages; similarly, now Congress is harassing citizens. This is an effort on the part of the Government to appease minority.” Hundreds of citizens signed the representation opposing the Act.
Highlights
- BJP members collected signatures from the people during demonstrations as also made an appeal to them to sign the representation against the Act.
- There was no power supply in Thane but at the place where the demonstrations were being staged, there was enough light.
- Many devout Hindus were raising slogans against the proposed Act outside Thane station.
