Suspend all anti-Hindu policemen trying to impose restriction on Hindus from abiding by their Dharma ! – demand pro-Hindu organizations
Mapusa (Goa): All the police staff trying to restrict Hindus from abiding by their Dharma should be suspended and departmental inquiry should be conducted against them. It should be found out as to who had issued them orders to take such action. The above demand was made in a press conference held at Hotel Suhas by representatives of various pro-Hindu organizations. They demanded justice from Goa Government and police administration. The press conference was attended, among others, by Mr. Ramesh Naik, the In-charge of Goa State for Shiv Sena, Mr. Virendra Marathe, the Manager Trustee of Sanatan Sanstha, Mrs. Rajashree Gadekar of ‘Ranaragini’, the women’s wing of HJS, Mr. Nagesh Gade, HJS’ branch of ‘Legal injustice removal committee’, Mrs. Kavita Keni, the aggrieved seeker of Sanatan and her husband Mr. Pardip Keni. During Diwali, police raided the house of Mrs. Kavita Keni, a Sanatan seeker from Mapusa and took away the ‘Kandeel (lantern)’ of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) put up by her that displayed messages propagating Dharma. Seven pro-Hindu organizations have come together against such ‘Raza’ style attitude of Mapusa police.
Throttling Sanatan is the modus operandi of police ! – Mr. Virendra Marathe, Manager Trustee, Sanatan Sanstha
On one hand, based on a biased complaint by someone, Mapusa police take action which is illegal resulting in throttling Sanatan (seeker of Sanatan) and on the other hand, although written complaints have been lodged 15 times against the attacks by miscreants on Sanatan’s ashram at Ramnathi; Ponda police prefer to treat such attacks as non-cognizable offence releasing miscreants and throttle Sanatan. In the same State, two police stations are taking action which is against each other. The motive of both the police stations is, however, throttling of Sanatan. Have the police formed policy of throttling Sanatan? Or is that a Government order? In Maharashtra, there is opposition to put up display boards with matters related to ‘Dharmashikshan’ written on them, for setting up stalls of Sanatan’s books and ‘sattvik’ products. At some places in Goa, police had objected to set up ‘Dharmarath’ of Sanatan’s ‘sattvik’ products. It is a kind of undeclared ban on Sanatan by the Government. In this background, Hindus should note that the offence by Mapusa police against a Sanatan seeker Mrs. Keni is not only limited to her but any Hindu can face similar situation in future. It is necessary that every Hindu insists for justice be done to Mrs. Keni; only then there will be some curb on oppressors like Mapusa police.
We’ll follow up the matter till concerned policemen get punished for doing anti-Constitutional things ! – Nagesh Gade, Committee for removal of legal injustice, HJS
Putting up ‘kandeel’ during Diwali is abiding by Dharma for Hindus and it is their right of freedom to follow their Dharma. Hindus are allowed to abide by their Dharma under article 25 of the Constitution. By removing ‘kandeel’ put up by Mrs. Keni in her house, Mapusa police have acted against the Constitution and have hurt religious sentiments of Mrs. Keni. Under section 295 (A) of the Indian penal Code, police have committed an offence of hurting religious sentiments. Police took Mrs. Keni to the police station in the absence of any lady-police and has acted against the orders passed by the Supreme Court. The above three offences have been committed by Mapusa police. A legal notice will be issued to the police on behalf of Mrs. Keni. Mrs. Keni has lodged complaint with senior police officers and follow up will be done till proper cognizance of her complaint is taken.
If objection is raised for the word ‘Hindu unity’, first impose ban on ‘Quran’ for statements generating hatred
It has been said in ‘Quran’ that ‘wherever one sees an idol-worshipper’, he should be killed then and there’. The statement from ‘Quran’, hurting religious sentiments of Hindus, is taught in every house, mosque, madarasa; therefore, ban should be first imposed on ‘Quran’ for teaching such hateful things. If police have objection to the word ‘Hindu unity’, it is necessary to first impose ban on ‘Quran’ for creating communal rift, said Mr. Nagesh Gade of ‘Committee for removal of legal injustice’.
Pro-Hindu activists resolve to get justice for their Hindu sister
1. A complaint will be lodged for injustice done to Mrs. Keni, with Women’s Commission and to forum attending to women’s complaints
2. If justice is not obtained, case will be filed in the Court against Government and concerned police officers.
