HJS intensifies agitations against anti-Hindu Acts

Parbhani: Nearly thousand Hindus came together to register their protest against the anti-Hindu Black magic Act and Act to take over temples and demanded to withdraw both the Acts immediately. H. H. Swami Govind Devgiri Maharaj said that if Hindus are conscious about their Dharma, such acts won’t come into effect. He said further that we must participate in this task as Gop and Gopis had extended support to Sree Krushna in lifting the Govardhan mountain by using their sticks.

The Temples Take-over Act is an assault on Hindu Dharma. It is necessary to fight against the Act unitedly. About 3000 devotees came from city and district and participated in the march. As the march reached the office of the District Collector, a representation was submitted to him by Resp. Mahant Babaji Maharaj. It was decided in the presence of various trustees, office-bearers of religious institutions, Hindu organizations and Sampradayas to continue the agitation.

Token hunger strike at taluka level in all districts of Vidarbha

Yeotmal: Along with the hunger strike carried on, in turns, at Latur and Nagpur against the proposed anti-Hindu religion Acts, various districts in Vidarbha like Amaravati, Wardha, Nanded, Yeotmal, Parbhani also observed token hunger strike. All saints and religious leaders as also Warkari sampradaya, VHP, Jain religious institutions, organizations like Chhava, Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti along with other social and spiritual organizations are joining the agitation considering the dreadfulness of the proposed Acts.

As a part of the agitations, token hunger strike was observed in front of the offices of the District Collector and Tehsildar. After hunger strike, a representation was also given to the Dy. District Collector. Many leaders of different organizations spoke on the occasion. It was decided to fight against the Govt.’s ploy by sending protest letters, taking out protest marches, motivate elected representatives to take up the issue in the Assembly, meet leaders of political parties and tell them to oppose passing of the Acts.

27 Hindu Organizations and Trustees of temples against the proposed Acts

Solapur: 27 Hindu organizations and trustees of the temples from the district opposed the Acts. A demand was made to send representations to Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of the State to withdraw the two anti-Hindu Acts.

Saints join in HJS’ agitations

Latur: A press conference was held on the fifth day of agitations started by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) which was attended by many eminent religious leaders from Dharashiv, Usmanabad, Tulzapur, Latur etc. as also political leaders. All of them supported the on-going campaign against the proposed Act for eradication of blind faith.
