Panvel (Navi Mumbai) : Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and devout Hindus had gone to the crackers market opposite Patwardhan Hospital and given guidance to vendors on not keeping on sale, crackers with pictures of Deities and great national leaders. The vendors also assured that they would not sell such crackers; however, some of them still tried to sell such crackers, therefore, devout Hindus lodged a complaint against them with Panvel Police Station.

Mr. Milind Poshe and Mr. Sachin Salunkhe, two devout Hindus had gone to the market to check whether the vendors had kept their promise; but they found that despite guidance, some vendors were selling crackers with picture of Goddess Laxmi. As a result, both of them went to the Panvel Police Station and lodged a complaint against the vendors. Mr. Poshe also requested the senior police inspector  Ramesh Ghadavale to confiscate such crackers who, in turn, sent his policemen to the market for necessary action.
