Reporter of Daily Sanatan Prabhat creates awareness !

Mumbai: An exhibition of paintings by a Muslim artist Faiyaz Khan from Lonavala has been held at Jahangir Art Gallery. There were six denigrating pictures of Shri Mahakaali put up in the exhibition. (Hindus do not have any respect for their Deities and seats of worship and they only make mockery of their Deities; therefore, Muslims also ridicule Deities of tolerant Hindus very often. Will any Hindu painter dare to make mockery of objects worshipped by Muslims? – Editor SP) Mr. Nityanand Bhise, a reporter of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat (DSP)’ explained to Mr. Faiyaz Khan about denigration after which he removed those paintings immediately. (DSP is published with the intention of creating awareness among people towards protection of Dharma and of Nation. Reporters like Mr. Nityanand Bhise working for God, Dharma and Nation are the true strength of Hindu Dharma ! – Editor SP)

The exhibition has been organized by a group of 6 artists. In the picture drawn by Mr. Khan, Shri Mahakaali has been shown as holding a gun in one hand, a cell phone in another hand, human skull in third hand and an injection / syringe in the fourth hand. There is also camera drawn over Her head. There are things which create pollution scattered all around Her. Mr. Khan has drawn six such paintings. After visiting the exhibition, Mr. Bhise introduced DSP to Mr. Khan and told him, “We give importance to news on the topics of awareness towards protection of Nation and Dharma. Hindus have no respect towards their seats of worship owing to existing defective political and social system; therefore, Hindus are only making mockery of their Deities. Hindus have never been offered conducive atmosphere by the Government to learn about their Dharma. As a result, the last two generations of Hindus have no knowledge about importance of their seats of worship. DSP and Sanatan Sanstha are engaged in imparting ‘Dharmashikshan’ to Hindus and creating seriousness among them towards their Dharma. They are sowing seeds of faith towards their Deities. In such situation, you are creating obstacles in our efforts by drawing such denigrating pictures of Deities. M F Husain, who did the same thing, could not return to India till the end; therefore, you remove such pictures from the exhibition.” Mr. Khan said, “It was not my intention to hurt religious sentiments of Hindus. When you pointed out that the picture is distorted, my soul told me to accept your advice; therefore, I am removing the pictures from the exhibition. I will not forget this in future. I give you my word. We present our art for people to enjoy the same. I will not draw such pictures that cause distress to people.” (Will Hindu painters like Subodh Kerkar, who support indecent and despicable pictures of Hindu Deities drawn by him under the name of freedom of expression, learn a lesson from Muslim artist like Faiyaz Khan ?- Editor SP)

Artist should have sense of social obligation ! – Senior artist Anand Sonar

Mumbai: An exhibition of paintings by a senior artist Mr. Anand Sonar from Nasik, who is in the field  for the past 45 years, is also held at Jahangir Art Gallery. He has drawn beautiful pictures on various stories from mythology like ‘Amrut-manthan’, ‘Seeta-swayamvar’, ‘Lanka-dahan’, ‘Gangavataran’ etc. which are drawing very good response from people. While talking to him about the issue, he said, “An artist should have freedom of expression and freedom of thoughts; but he should use discretion while using such freedom. We live in society; therefore, the art should not be such that will cause crack in the ideologies of people. M F Husain insisted that he would draw paintings in which he believed and did not care for what people would think about them. An artist should not be so stubborn. He has to follow what society wants and should fear for people’s sentiments; one does not go out without wearing clothes because there is freedom. Then, there will be no difference between an animal and human being. I generally select topics based on stories from ‘Puranas’, Indian culture, religious customs and traditions etc. I have, therefore, studied these scriptures. I try to abide by the limit of freedom.” (The young artists should keep such senior artists as their ideals rather than like Husain under the name of ‘Modern art’ ! –  Editor SP)
