Temples have become markets ! – Jyotirbhaskar

Situation created by lack of ‘Dharmashikshan’ and corruption can be changed only by establishing Hindu Nation !

Mumbai: One feels very happy on visiting temple. The sanctified atmosphere inspires inner consciousness. This consciousness then drives away the devils, says our Dharma; but temples have become like markets these days. The above views were expressed by Jyotirbhaskar Jayant Salgaonkar. (It is unfortunate for Hindus that in such situation, the scholars of Dharma should come forward to guide people and make active efforts to change such situation; but that is not happening ! – Editor SP) A two-day program ‘Mahanagar Sahitya Sammelan – Apurva Sanskrutik Sohala’ was jointly organized by Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh and Raja Shivaji Vidyalaya. Yesterday, a seminar was held on the topic of ‘Shraddha (Faith) – Andha-shraddha (superstitions), festivals and attitude to celebrate’ which was presided over by Jyotirbhaskar Salgaonkar.

Jyotirbhaskar Jayant Salgaonkar said further, “Hindu Dharma is the most educative Dharma in the world; but the present situation has been created as no changes were carried out as per the times. (It is not carrying out changes as per the time; but lack of Dharmashikshan’  which is responsible for such situation. When every Hindu gets ‘Dharmashikshan’, there will automatically be change in them ! – Editor SP) Fanaticism found in other religions does not exist in our Dharma. If our evolved Saints and Deities are given proper respect, quacks doing business in every nook and corner will be driven away. It is, however, very sad that our own people are so indifferent towards Dharma.” (Only expressing remorse is not enough; but efforts should be made to impart ‘Dharmashikshan’ to Hindus which will lead to changes ! – Editor SP)

Regarding young generation’s psychology, he said, “Today’s young generation is very much frustrated.” On the same issue, D. K. Soman said, “Insecurity, cut-throat competition and injustice have frustrated them as there seems to be no means to tackle these problems; therefore, they are turning to God; but it is not a good sign in the era of science. (It is the gift of era of science that everywhere in the world, there is insecurity, cut-throat competition and injustice but there is no moral strength to fight against them. In olden days, people had faith in God, Dharma and spiritual practice; therefore, those days were better. If the young generation is again turning to God, it is a good sign. If they are imparted ‘Dharmashikshan’, they will have a positive attitude towards life and will have moral base ! – Editor SP) Youth should not rely on fate. (In fact, it will be better if youth are not inclined towards only science as against believing in fate ! – Editor SP) There has to be faith; but it should be seen that it is not turning into superstition. The youth needs to be alert!”
