Hindu organizations unite against anti-Hindu Act

Staunch Hindus participated in Nagpur fasting against Black Magic Act

Nagpur: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti along with other organizations gave a representation to the Chief Minister Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh. It is said in the representation that many organizations are against the Black Magic Act. Under the guise of eradication of blind faith, this Act will only eradicate the faith of Hindus so also bring a ban on Hindus for performing various rituals and observing traditions and customs as prescribed in the religion. This Act is ultra virus of the Constitution of India. A copy of the representation was also given to Shri. Shivajirao Deshmukh, the Chairman of the Legislative Council.

Agitations are going on to oppose this Act using different mediums like going on hunger strike in Latur, Nagpur and various districts in Vidarbha like Amaravati, Wardha, Nanded, Yeotmal and Parbhani, taking out marches, display of banners etc. Thousands of staunch Hindus have joined the agitations. Many saints and religious leaders along with HJS and other organizations have played pivotal role in the agitations.

Despite having opposition at all levels for passing the Black Magic Act, still if it is passed, there could be eruption of feelings of Hindus affecting the law and order situation in the State. Therefore, the Act should not be passed when there is mayhem in the Assembly. Paper cuttings on the issue from different newspapers have been enclosed with the representation.
