Mumbai: Congress Government ruling Maharashtra presented unrighteous Anti-Superstitions Bill in the monsoon session of its Legislative Assembly. The Congress Government is now hatching a plot to hold discussions and pass the Bill in the forthcoming winter session. If such Bill attacking Dharma is passed, it can create serious repercussions in the society. There are many objectionable clauses in the proposed Act which are against Dharma. Such controversial Bill should not be passed. Memorandum to the above effect was submitted by Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, the district coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad to the State Minister for Social Justice, Mr. Shivajirao Moghe yesterday on meeting him in his office. The Minister said, “Detailed discussions will be held on the Bill during session of Legislative Assembly. The Bill will be passed only after all objectionable part is modified”. (People won’t now believe in such false misleading promises given by the Minister. The Government has been telling lies to people for the past 8 years. Hindus should unite and meet ministers, elected representatives and Government officials in every district and make a demand for cancellation of the proposed anti-Dharma Act ! – Editor SP)

Recently, the Minister for Social Justice had announced on a TV channel while giving interview that the said Act would be passed during winter session of the Legislative Assembly (LA) starting from 12th December. In this background, HJS had a meeting with the Minister. He promised to consider changes suggested and will modify clause 13 of the said Act. (The Minister is always saying that the Bill would be modified; but not a single change is carried out. When it was observed that the proposed Bill presented in the year 2005 was against the Constitution of India, it was sent to joint review committee. The proposed Bill was presented without carrying out any modifications in the LA session in the year 2011. This is betrayal of people and LA. The citizens should take the untrustworthy Congress Ministers to task wherever they meet them ! – Editor SP)
