Andhra Pradesh is in news from last few days and it is for all wrong reasons. The incidents of attacks on Hindu temples and deities murtis are increasing. More than 120 temples have been vandalised in last few months after YSRCP Govt took over. This has created outrage among Hindus not just in Andhra, but from all over the country.
Hindus took to Twitter to address the issue of increasing attacks on Andhra temples and started tweeting with hashtag #SaveAndhraTemples. They described how Andhra temples are being attacked continously and no proper action in being taken neither to stop such attacks, nor to find culprits behind these attacks. The hashtag became one of the top 10 national trends in India on Twitter. More than 25,000 tweets were tweeted using the said hashtag. The hashtag was on 4th spot for brief period of time and was in top 10 for few hours in the morning.
Here are some of the tweets from the trend :

Two very important developments are taking place in AP which ideally should have been the topic of national debates, but is unfortunately, not!
One is the systematic attacks on Hindu temples & idols.
2nd is the systematic curbing of news of temple vandalism.

The last few days have witnessed an upsurge in attacks on Hindu temples in Andhra Pradesh. Reports of temples being vandalised & burgled and coming in every single day. It is an affront to the religious sentiments of Hindus across the country & not just in AP.#SaveAndhraTemples pic.twitter.com/TXtRsxE1i0

Invaders have plundered and looted thousands and lakhs of our temples, and even desecrated idols since last 1000+ years.
The ruins of thousands of temples stand mute spectator to these as evidence !
Only #HinduRashtra will bring a permanent stop to these !#SaveAndhraTemples pic.twitter.com/TwZ3iDe6Fv
