Panvel (Dist. Raigad, Maharashtra) : There are two types of values inculcated in a person; one is related to his personal life and the other is, values related to patriotism. There are four debts which a person has to repay beginning from his birth; which are ‘Matru-rhun, Pitru-rhun, Samaj-rhun and Dev-rhun i.e. what one owes to his mother and father, to society and to the Creator. Inculcated values bring about basic changes in us; e.g. invention of a knife. A knife is used by a doctor to save someone’s life; but the same knife is used by an evil person to kill another person. Here, knife is not important; but what values are inculcated in a person only matter. Ravana was the son of Sage Pulanja; but our Dharma advocates that one should not be keep him as an ideal. Son of demon ‘Hiranyakashyapu’, however, became ‘Bhakta Prahlad’, a great devotee and Dharma tells us to follow him as ideal; therefore, it is not important to see where a person is born; but what values are inculcated in him is important. The above guidance was given by Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) at Vispute College in New Panvel while speaking on the topic of ‘Sanskarache Mahatva (Importance of moral values)’ in a program held to celebrate the birthday of Institutional Principal Mr. Vispute.

Mr. Shinde said further, “We need to discard wrong values and try to inculcate good qualities in us. Whenever this country faced problems, persons with good qualities have protected it which means that the values inculcated in us should not only benefit us as an individual but should also benefit the society at large.”

Mr. Vispute was presented with a picture of seven Deities made by Sanatan Sanstha. Many professors were quite impressed with the guidance.
