District Collector issues instruction to immediately close down unauthorized mosque

Meeting of pro-Hindu activists and District Collector

Kolhapur (Maharashtra) : A mosque known as ‘Sagarmal’ mosque was constructed in unauthorized manner near ‘Om Ganesh Mangal Karyalay’ in residential area about 5 years back. District Collector Lakshmikant Deshmukh gave instructions in a meeting to immediately close down the said mosque. Recently, a meeting was held at District Collector’s office with administrative officers, pro-Hindu activists and office bearers of ‘Sagarmal Mosque Madarasa Trust’ when he gave the above instructions.(What was the Administration doing for 5 years after unauthorized construction of mosque? Had there been a temple constructed by Hindus at this place, it would have been immediately demolished by Government administration. – Editor SP)

The said meeting was attended by Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Lakshmi Bidri-Prasanna, Police Superintendent Vijay Singh Jadhav, Vice President of Hindu Ekata Andolan for Maharashtra zone Mr. Dilip Bhivate, Chief of Bajarang Dal for Western Maharashtra, Mr. Sambhajirao Salunkhe, its district President Mr. Mahesh Ursal, BJP’s district President, Mr. Mahesh Jadhav, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s Mr. Madhukar Nazare, pro-Hindu activist Mr. Kakasaheb Patil, former municipal councilor Mrs. Padmavati Patil, Sagarmal Mosque madarasa Trust’s office bearers advocate K. M. Patel, N. K. Jamadar; besides other eminent personalities and citizens.
