Police put up new board

Kolhapur (Maharashtra) : At Vishalgad (Dist. Kolhapur), two boards have been displayed by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS); one showing map of Vishalgad and the other on preservation of historical structures. On 1st December, these boards were to be inaugurated.  On the night of 29th November, however, some anti-social elements smeared the boards with black paint. Hindu activists have been enraged due to this incident. (Beware Hindus! Unite to teach a lesson to anti-Hindus who have spoilt the boards giving information about Vishalgad; else tomorrow, such anti-Hindus will blacken even your face. – Editor SP)

The boards were displayed from 4th November at Vishalgad. One board was displayed at the base of the fort and the other on the fort. In the night of 29th November, some unknown miscreants damaged the boards by blackening them. The local residents observed it on the following morning. They informed the Government officials when they immediately removed those boards and replaced them with new ones. Since the incident occurred in the background of program on Vishalgad, police security has been provided at the venue.

Mr. Rajesh Kshirsagar, Shiv Sena MLA and Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of HJS told the police to take due care so as to prevent recurrence of such incidents. They also warned that if time comes, they would teach a lesson to the miscreants in their style. Thereafter, it is learnt that the police officers and tehsildar have warned the anti-social elements in the area of taking stringent action.
