Karnataka : Christian missionaries’ converting Hindus create tension

Local residents strongly oppose conversions : warn to start intense agitations

Titimati (Kodgu, Karnataka) : Christian missionaries have converted more than 70 Hindu families. Earlier these Hindu families were getting the benefit of reservation being from backward class. Since they have now converted, the facility of reservation extended to them should be immediately stopped. If BJP Government in the State did not take action within ten days, the agitation will be intensified. The main road of the village would be blocked. The above warning has been given by Hindus in a press conference held here. (Other Hindus should learn a lesson from the Hindus who have united against attacks on Dharma. Such Hindus are the true strength of Hindu Dharma !- Editor SP) This news has been published in the issue dated 2nd December of daily newspaper named ‘Hosdigant’.

Mr. P. P. Siddi said in the press conference, “Ten years back, only one family was converted in this village; but now 70 families have been converted. (This is the condition of one village in India and shows the gravity of conversion problem.  If this condition continues, no Hindu will be left in India. – Editor SP) In the converted families, people belonging to ‘Jenu kurub (one community)’ are more. These people are not only getting converted but they are motivating others also to convert. This has destroyed peace and caused tension in the village. The converted people gather even at 12.00 in the midnight and start praying loudly creating inconvenience to other residents. It is even affecting students’ studies.(Police are very strict with only Hindus and threaten them to put behind bars if religious programs are held beyond 10.00 p.m. but they always kowtow to Muslims and Christians. Has Sonia Gandhi issued instructions to police all over the country that they should not trouble Christians and let them do whatever they want? – Editor SP) These converted people are getting facilities from the Government extended to backward communities. They get cheap grains meant for backward communities thus misusing Government grants. We have lodged complaints with District Superintendent of Police and District Collector; but nothing has been done so far. (This condition is indicative of BJP following the path of Congress. Hindus should realize that there is no political party or elected representative who will take care of their interests. They should, therefore, unite and dedicate themselves for establishment of Hindu nation so as to survive as Hindus. – Editor SP)

If the district administration takes no action within next 10 days, we shall intensify our agitation. (Hindus from all over the country should extend active support to agitation by Hindus ! – Editor SP)  The converted persons talk about Hindu Deities in denigrating manner which is hurting us.” (How many Hindus calling themselves as pro-Hindu activists like Mr. P. P. Siddi are feeling bad about denigration of Hindu deities? Other Hindus should think about why they are not feeling the same thing. – Editor SP)
