Denigration of Lord Shiva: criminal charges against magazine

Nanded: A complaint has been lodged against a fortnightly named ‘Just Another Magazine (JAM)’ by Shri. Hemant Patil, the Shiv Sena district-chief for Nanded for publishing a picture of ‘Shivaling’ under the excuse of educating people on ‘AIDS’. The picture of ‘Shivaling’ has been published along with very indecent matter. This is a mockery of Hindu deity. Shri. Hemant Patil has registered protest in very strong words and has filed a written complaint at Vazirabad police station. An offense of hurting people’s feeling has been registered by the police against Rashmi Bansal, the Chief Editor, Sunil Kundur, Chief of Sales and the owner of ‘Yogi Newspaper Agencies Deepak Yogi for distribution of the magazine.

In the issue of ‘JAM’ for the fortnight 30th November to 14th December, the above picture has been published on the last page with the matter ‘Khada hai to condom hai’ below the picture. More than 1000 copies of the magazine have been sold in the State. The advertisement hurts feelings of thousands of Hindus who worship Lord Shiva with so much of devotion.
