CM should immediately give a statement ! – demands Mangalprabhat Lodha, BJP –MLA
Nagpur (Maharashtra) : A huge rally taken out by Warakaris, Saints and religious leaders reached ‘Vidhan Bhavan’ opposing proposed anti-superstitions Bill. The Chief Minister (CM) had promised to set up a coordination committee of Warakaris during the last session of the Legislative Assembly; but it has not yet been established nor has the Government withdrawn the said Bill. (Will the Congress CM ever dare to cheat Muslims like he has cheated Hindus? – Editor SP) The Bill should be withdrawn immediately; the Government especially the CM should make a statement in this regard and the Bill should be promptly cancelled. The above demands were made by Mr. Mangalprabhat Lodha, BJP MLA elected from Malabar Hill constituency. He also kept the business in the LA session on hold for some time.
Mr. Lodha presented the topic under the rule of ‘Point of Information’. In support of Mr. Lodha, Mr. Girish Bapat, the group leader of BJP and Dr. Sanjay Kunte, its MLA made a demand that the Government should make a statement on this issue on the same day i.e. yesterday. Prof. Vasant Purake, Deputy Chairman of LA occupying the seat of Chairman said that it was a serious topic and instructed the Government to take a note of the same and make statement. BJP MLAs, however, took a firm standpoint drawing Government’s attention to the Bill that Saints had joined the huge rally; therefore, the Government should realize its seriousness and make a statement withdrawing the Bill. In the meantime, Congress MLA Prashant Thakur elected from Panvel and Mr. Neelesh Paravekar of Yeotmal raised the issue of cotton pricing saying that it was more serious matter and time should not be wasted in other matters; thus interrupting BJP MLAs. (The problem of ‘cotton’ has been created due to the Government’s anti-farmer policies. It is, therefore, necessary to first know what both the ruling fBillions of the Government have done to solve this problem using their power. Mr. Thakur and Paravekar are creating obstacles by interrupting the discussions on the anti-superstitions Bill which is aimed at attacking Hindu Dharma and are thus working against Dharma. – Editor SP)
