‘Natpunarvu Kootam’ (Sneha Sammelan) was organised by Hindu Janjagruti Samiti in Chennai on Sunday, 11-12-2011, at 5-30 p.m. at Vivekananda Hall, P.S.Higher Secondary School, Mylapore.  The program started with a prayer with bhav.. The important features of Sanatan Prabhat was explained by Ms.Komala Srivatsan.

Mr. Sampath Kumar, President, Bharat Swabhiman Trust and Pathanjali Yoga Peeth, Tamilnadu presided over the function. In his speech, he praised the invaluable information given in the Sanatan calender(panchang). He told this panchang is a treasure which should reach each and everyone’s house throughtout the world. He assured that Pathanjali Yoga Samiti was ready to work in co-ordination with Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in effectively spreading Dharma.

This was followed by a video presentation of Dharmic rituals (Kruthis). Ms. Ragini Premnath gave the explanation in Tamil in perfect co-ordination. Then, a short clipping on New Year celebration was shown. Ms. Veena Jayaprakash spoke in details about the right way of celebrating New Year and also explained the reasons as to why  new year should not be celebrated on 1st January. The next item was a video presentation on the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti activities with tamil explanation by Ms.Ragini Premnath.

Lastly,  Ms.Uma Ravichandran spoke on behalf of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti. She discussed the main aim of the Samiti which is to re-establish Hindu Rajya. A brief explanation on how a Hindu Rajya will be was given. Then, the various activities of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti to achieve this end through Dharma sabhas, Panchang, Notebooks, website was explained.

Then, a friendly request was made to all the dharmabhimanis present to take part in these activities in whatever way they can. The program ended after offering krutagnyatha to Bhagwan Shri Krushna’s Lotus Feet. The program was compered by Mrs.Suganthi Jaikumar.

Highlights :

1. About 60 people attended the programme
2. The speech of Mr. Sampath Kumar was so effective that after the program everyone wanted to buy Sanatan Panchang.
3. The Head of Tamizhaga Desiya Anmiga Makkal Katchi, Mr.. Avadi Ravichandran attended the function. He invited Hindu Janjagruti Samiti to participate in a massive Thiruvillakku Puja to be held on 30th December for which Kanchi Swamiji is going to preside.
4. Mr.Trivedi of Pathanjali Yoga Samiti was interested in starting a balsanskar class in his area.
5.Mr. Kalyanamji, a veteran freedom fighter graced the occasion along with Mr. Kumar of Desiya Padhukappu Kazhagam. Mr. Kumar requested for the copies of Dharmic Kruthis and New year lecture to spread awareness in his circle.
6. Mr. Nambiar, a dharmabhimani recorded the video presentations to show in a yagna to be conducted by him.
7. Ganga Sweets sponsored the sweets and savouries.
8. A few participants who came to attend a function in the adjacent hall came to the stall and bought granths and subscribed for Sanatan Prabhat.
