Report of Online webinar on ‘How to keep the mind steady during Coronavirus pandemic ?’

‘Only by performing spiritual practice and abiding by Dharma, we can face the global adversities’ – Sadguru Nandkumar Jadhav

‘Not only the coronavirus pandemic, but also other natural or man-made disasters are caused, from a spiritual viewpoint, by not abiding by Dharma (Lethargy to Dharma). As the proportion of Raj-Tama components on earth increases, so does the spiritual pollution. The whole society has to suffer its consequences. In such cases, it often harms the bad as well as the good. ‘Na bhakta: pranashyati.’ Means ‘My devotee is never destroyed’, is what God has stated in the Geeta. Therefore, we should become a devotee of God by performing spiritual practice (Sadhana)’, stated Sadguru Nandkumar Jadhav, Dharma Pracharak of Sanatan Sanstha. He said if everyone performs spiritual practice and abide by Dharma, we can face global crises.

He was speaking at an online special webinar on ‘Coronavirus, a global pandemic: How to stabilize the mind ?’ organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. The programme was viewed by 12,956 people on Facebook and YouTube.

Sadguru Nandkumar Jadhav further said, “Today, the number of patients is increasing tremendously during the coronavirus period. The hospital does not provide beds, injections and oxygen. The situation is dire everywhere. The news that is constantly being shown on the news channels has created an atmosphere of fear in society. Most people are under stress. If we perform spiritual practice at such a time, then we can increase our inner strength and remain stable. For that, everyone should start performing spiritual practice from today itself”.

Bhupesh Sharma, a Vaidya from Haryana, said, “Thousands of years ago, Maharshi Charak wrote in Ayurveda that expectation causes grief and grief causes diseases”. Studies on dermatology abroad have found that due to mental distress, it takes longer to heal. Therefore, every disease should be treated mentally and spiritually along with physical therapy. For this, everyone should leave the western lifestyle and turn to the Indian lifestyle. If proper diet, sleep, walk along with daily Yoga, Pranayama, exercise give us good benefits at physical, mental and spiritual levels.

Speaking on this occasion, the coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti for Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, Shri. Anand Jakhotia said, “The number of suicides in Japan has increased during the coronavirus period. The situation is similar in India. The reason for this is the ever-increasing stress. Therefore, while taking physical treatment, everyone’s mental strength should be increased. After many years of research, the founder of Sanatan Sanstha and internationally renowned psychiatrist Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Jayant Balaji Athavale has come up with innovative therapy. Thousands of people have come out of stress because of the autosuggestions therapy that gives positive energy to the mind. If every family takes these autosuggestions in their daily routine, it can benefit the whole society.
