Murbad (Dist. Thane, Maharashtra) : A program was held by ‘Siddhagad Smarak Samiti’ on Siddhagad on the occasion of Martyr Day to pay homage to martyrs Bhai Kotwal and Hiroji Patil. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held pictorial exhibition on this occasion giving information about various revolutionaries. About 2000 youth paid a visit to this exhibition.
The revolutionaries sacrificed everything including their life for the freedom of this country; but today’s rulers have forgotten their sacrifices. The exhibition was, therefore, organized by HJS with the purpose of kindling the spark of patriotism among youth by remembering the sacrifices of revolutionaries. Mr. Kartik Salunke explained on behalf of HJS about abuse of National Flags by using flags made of plastic and paper on the occasion of Republic Day. A signature drive was also undertaken in this connection.
