HJS members and patriotic Indians protesting against China

Mumbai (Maharashtra) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) staged demonstrations to strongly protest against the oppression of Indian officers in China recently. About 50 patriotic citizens took part in the demonstrations. Local citizens also spontaneously joined the demonstrations against China.

Two Indians were detained and were tortured in China. Mr. Balchandran, an officer from Indian Consulate, who had gone to rescue the Indian citizens, was also detained for 5 hours without offering him any food or medicines. When he was coming out of the Court, he was beaten up. All these incidents are most condemnable from the viewpoint of humanity. It is an insult of a sovereign country. It is not the first time that China has been involved in such cases as she had earlier claimed its right on Arunachal Pradesh, an Indian State; infiltrated in India; provided ‘stapled’ VISA to citizens from Jammu and Kashmir; opposed India for carrying out research in oil etc. But Indian Government does not seem to have taken any stern step to oppose such incidents. The spinelessness of Indian Government has resulted in China being constantly involved in such incidents; therefore, at least now, Indian Government should reproach the Government of China and show some pride in being Indian. To bring to the notice of the Government that Indian citizens would show their patriotism by boycotting all Chinese products and to register strong protest, HJS staged demonstrations near Hanuman temple outside Dadar railway station. A signature drive was also undertaken on this occasion which received very good response from the citizens. The demonstrators were holding boards to register their protest. People were explained the matter over megaphone.
