Representation submitted by HJS to District Collector, Amaravati
Amaravati (Maharashtra) : Thousands of patriots sacrificed their life for preserving honour and protection of National Flag. Such National Flag is abused quite often. On 26th January, flags made of plastic and paper are found in torn condition scattered on the roads and in gutters. As they are made of plastic, it becomes difficult to destroy them. There are instructions issued by the Government for not using plastic in making National Flag; but the instructions do not seem to be followed; therefore, ban should be imposed on sale of plastic National Flags so as to stop its abuse. A representation to the above effect was submitted to District Collector Rahul Mahiwal of Amaravati. He promised to pass an order to stop such abuse. Mr. Amol Wankhede, Vinod Javarkar, Yogesh Malokar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Sanatan Sanstha’s Mr. Girish Komerwar were present on the occasion.
