500 historians participate at ‘Sri Tulajabhavani Special Convention’

Tulajapur (Maharashtra) : All Maharashtra History Council’s convention organized on behalf of ‘Sri Tulajabhavani Pujari Mandal’ on 6th and 7th January took place with great enthusiasm. In this convention, 60 research papers were presented on the subject ‘Tulajabhavani and Tulajapur’. 500 historians from all over Maharashtra and other States participated in the convention. The convention was inaugurated by ‘Shrimant Shri Shahu Chhatrapati Maharaj’. Dr. G. B. Degalukar, the Principal of Deccan College, Abhimat University, Pune was the main speaker. Professor Dr. Jaisingarao Pawar was the Chairman of the program which was attended by dignitary like Dr. Sarjerao Bhamare, the President of all Maharashtra History Council, among others.

Highlights     

‘Dharma-ratha’ with books on spirituality published by Sanatan Sanstha and other material used in ritualistic worship was kept on display at the venue. It was drawing attention of everyone.

Memorandum submitted by HJS against NCERT for degrading Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj through its history text book

In the 7th standard text book devised by NCERT, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been humiliated by giving information about him only in 6 lines whereas 60 pages of the book have been devoted to glorify Mughals. Memorandum was submitted on the subject to Dr. Jaisingrao Pawar and Dr. Sarjerao Bhamare by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) against NCERT. Both the dignitaries assured to pass a resolution in the forthcoming convention scheduled to take place at Bhusaval for cancellation of the said text book for insulting Shivaji Maharaj. Mr. Amit Kadam, Vilas Pujari of HJS and Mr. Umesh Kadam of Sanatan Sanstha were present on the occasion.
