Igatpuri (Dist. Nashik, Maharashtra) : A program of ‘Maha-aarti’ and ‘tilgul’ distribution was held jointly on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) with Sri Sai Sahayya Samiti, Mr. Yashawant Dalvi of Sri Icchamani Ganesh Temple, Mr. Manohar Shingade of Sri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj vegetable market, Igatpuri and Dharati Kreeda Mandal, Igatpuri on the occasion of Makar-sankranti. It was the first time that on the occasion of ‘Makar-sankranti’, such program was held by HJS and all the above committees, at Sri Icchamani Ganesh Temple, Nava Bazaar. The program received spontaneous response from the local residents. Mr. Sandip Kotkar, the President of Igatpuri ‘Patrakar Sangh’ and Mrs. Kotkar performed the ‘Maha-aarti’. Mr. Raju Deolekar, the President of Sri Sai Samiti gave guidance during the program. Mr. Sandip Patane of Dharati Kreeda Mandal was the chief of ‘Maha-aarti’. The program was attended by about 100-150 youth members.
