Chopda (Maharashtra) : In the program organized by Pankaj High Secondary School’s Science Department, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda as per the Hindu calendar, members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) were invited. Elocution competition was also held on this occasion. Mrs. Vandana Patil, the Vice Principal of the school and Mr. Vinay Panwalkar of HJS shared the dais. About 125 students attended the program. Topics for elocution competition were ‘Dharmaprasar’ done by Swami Vivekananda all over the world’, ‘Guidance by Swami Vivekananda to the youth’ , ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje – an ideal King’ and ‘Visionary Savarkar’ on which the students presented their views.

In the guidance by Mr. Vinay Panwalkar, he said, “Swami Vivekananda is known by the whole world for propagation of Hindu Dharma. This could be done due to his spiritual practice and the ‘Sattva’ quality prevalent in him. There were problems even in those days; but at young age, he undertook spiritual practice and started his mission of propagation of Dharma which he carried on for all his life. A person is considered great due to the qualities in him and not just by his work. The qualities should be used for development and that was what Swami Vivekananda did. Today’s youth should keep him as ideal and devote themselves to the mission of Dharmaprasar.” The program was concluded with singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ with all 6 stanzas.
