When is Dr. Johnrose Austin Jayalal, IMA- President going to apologise ?- Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

Yoga-rhushi Ramdev Baba rendered apology when there was ruckus created on his statement; however, when is the present President of Indian Medical Association (IMA) Dr. Johnrose Austin Jayalal going to render apology for constantly criticising Ayurveda and for pursuing his agenda of conversion to Christianity? We are not against Allopathy; nor are we against Indian Medical Association; but we are certainly against the attitude of Dr. Jayalal against Hinduism and against his support for conversion to Christianity. In one of his interviews, rather than giving credit to medical facilities, doctors and Covid-warriors for reduction in the spread of Corona, Dr. Jayalal gave its credit to Jesus. It is an insult of all those, who are working so hard at the risk of their own life, in fighting against Corona. Dr. Jayalal has to render an apology for the same ; else he should declare himself as a Christian missionary, was the demand made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). HJS has also made an appeal to Union Minister Dr. Harshavardhan to force Dr. Jayalal to render an apology, in case Dr. Jayalal didn’t offer an apology on his own.

Interview given by Dr. Jayalal to ‘Christianity Today’, after taking over as the President of IMA in December 2020, has been published on 30th March 2021. There are many shocking statements made by him in this interview. It shows that he treats medical students, doctors and patients as an opportunity for conversion. He has said, “Give Jesus Christ’s love to everyone and make everyone believe that Jesus would protect them. Remedy was found in many pandemics and diseases which had affected the world earlier only because of the Church and kindness of Christians.” In his presidential speech, he had said that the omnipotent God was the gift given by Jesus and whatever would happen in future, would also be his gift. In another interview, he has said that Christianity is spreading even in this period of pandemic. Such statements clearly show his support for conversion to Christianity. He had given a similar interview even to ‘Haggai International’.

In this interview, while criticising Ayurveda and the Union Government, Dr. Jayalal says that Modi Government’s cultural principles and traditional inclinations are based on ‘Hindutva’; therefore, Modi Government believes in Ayurveda. The root of Ayurveda is in Sanskrut and Sanskrut is the language of ‘Hindutva’. Such statements made by Dr. Jayalal exhibit his hatred towards ‘Hindutva’ and hatred towards Sanskrut language. A person with such strong religious intolerance has no right to hold the post of President of a big organization in this democratic country. HJS is making an appeal to all doctors of IMA to foil the conspiracy of conversion hatched by Christian missionary Dr. Jayalal by removing him from the post.
