To stigmatise Saints and Sages by spreading lies ‘Corona virus spread all over the country due to Kumbha Mela’, is a great sin in itself ! – Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj
‘The ‘Toolkit’ is being used to destabilize India by spreading the propaganda that ‘Kumbha Mela spread the coronavirus across the country’. At the request of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Saints and Sages concluded the Kumbha Mela even though the Kumbha Mela was still going on. Many Mutts and roads in Haridwar had become empty. In fact, Saints and Sages should have been congratulated for this step taken by them. Instead, it is a great sin to stigmatise them by saying, “They spread coronavirus all over the country”. It is unfortunate for India that many media outlets in the country have been owned by foreign powers. Therefore, they do not leave any opportunity to attack Indian culture, faith, Dharma, tradition. It does not behove them to spread lies for political gain. The Indian people should strongly oppose such propaganda in a legal way’, said Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj, Treasurer of Shriram Janmabhoomi Tirthakshetra Trust, Ayodhya. He was speaking at the online special webinar on ‘Political Conspiracy to defame Kumbha Mela’ organised by ‘Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’. The programme was viewed live by 4179 people on the Samiti’s website Hindujagruti.org, YouTube and Twitter.
On the occasion, the Director of the YouTube channel ‘Jumbo Talk’, which airs programmes on the Nation and Dharma, Mr. Nidhish Goyal said, “In India, ‘Toolkit’ has been used for a long time to spread hatred and animosity among the people. First, the international media like New York Times, Time and Al-Jazeera started spreading propaganda about Kumbha Mela. After that, their henchmen in India started propaganda. The Congress did not object to the violent attacks in Bengal after the elections; however, it should be realised that the Congress objected immediately after the Police took action against Twitter’s Delhi office in the ‘Toolkit’ matter.
At the time, State Organiser of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti for Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh Mr. Sunil Ghanwat said, “It is wrong to compare Tablighi Markaz with Kumbha Mela because the Tablighis organised the programme without permission. Tablighi fled when the Police arrived, with several Tablighis hiding their infection by Coronavirus. The coronavirus-affected Tablighis treated the nurses and doctors rudely. On the contrary, ‘Coronavirus Negative Certificate’ was made mandatory for everyone attending Kumbha Mela. Many Mutts and Ashrams have affixed a sign stating that a ‘Coronavirus Negative Certificate’ is mandatory for the visit. Therefore, Congress should apologise to the country for spreading propaganda that coronavirus was spread across the country due to Kumbha Mela”. On the occasion, the Supreme Court Advocate Adv. Rajendra Verma said that action can be taken against those who insult religious beliefs like Kumbha Mela. For this, all Hindus should unite and resolve their differences first. Therefore, the defeat of the opposing forces will be certain.
