Hassan : HJS submits memorandum to stop abuse of National Flag

Hassan (Karnataka) : Members of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) approached the district office at Hassan and Kodgu district (Karnataka) to stop the defamation of Indian national flag on Republic Day. It states that the “National Flag” is defamed in big way in the name of patriotism; by usage of plastic flags, and, tattooing or painting the national flag on body parts especially on the face, hands and legs. Also, plastic flags are sold in the market, openly. However, the government is not taking any action against this.Hence, to avoid the defamation of the national flag, a memorandum was given to the Government requesting strict action against the above activities on the eve of Republic Day .
