Ambajogai (Maharashtra) : Case was filed against Ganesha Committees in Pune because they brought statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the  procession taken out on the occasion of Ganesha festival. On the emblem with picture of Mecca, picture of Chhatrapati Shivaraya should not be there was the demand made by Muslims and it was acceded to by the Mayor of Pune Municipal Corporation. Incidents describing bravery of Chhatrapati Shivaraya are suppressed by schools. Such things are going on in the regime which calls itself secular. The Government is trying to brand Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as secular who defeated five Mughal regimes. The above bold opinion was expressed by Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for the States of Maharashtra and Gujarat in a program held at Pandurang Mangal Karyalay in Ambajogai.

Regarding the present condition of the country, he said,

1. “Reservation for Muslims means beginning of second partition of this country.
2. This country faced partition in the name of religions and today, even after 65 years of freedom; undergoing ill effects of partition, the rulers have taken this country on the brink  of second partition; only for their selfish needs and for Muslim votes.
3. Hindus should therefore, oppose with unity.
4.  All Hindu youth should devote at least one hour every day for facing grave dangers like ‘love jihad’ and various attacks taking place against Nation and Dharma. They should unite forgetting their differences.”

The program was attended by local youth in large number. Mr. Balaji Chate felicitated Mr. Ramesh Shinde. The program was compeered by Mrs. Sunita Mahajan. Mr. Shinde was presented a painting by Mr. Rhushi Palskar depicting the scene of Afzal Khan’s slaying. The copies of book on ‘love jihad’ published by HJS were bought by many youth members.
