A conspiracy to promote the foreign ‘vegan’ milk in India by opposing the milk produced by Amul !
‘In today’s times, it is possible to gain control of a country without using military force. Such a control can be obtained quite easily by forcing the residents of that country to buy the products you want them to buy. The recent discussion around the necessity to consume “vegan” milk is no different. In the United States, ‘Vegan Milk’ is produced by genetically modifying soybeans. It is considered to be protein-rich. However, while prompting “Soya Milk”, the usage of huge quantities of toxic pesticides is conveniently kept secret from the public domain. India is a huge market for cow’s milk’. The President of Vivekanand Karya Samiti and a well-known scholar from Haryana Mr. Neeraj Atri exposed this devious plot while he was speaking at an online webinar on ‘The true face of PETA’ organised by Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJS). He said, ‘US based PETA had advised Amul to produce ‘Vegan Milk’ instead of ‘Animal Milk’ to make it easier for the foreign firms to dominate our huge market.’ The programme was viewed by more than 4797 people on Samiti’s website HinduJagruti.org, YouTube and Twitter.
On the occasion, revealing the true face of PETA, Mr. Umesh Sharma, Advocate, Supreme Court said, “When we visit the home page of the PETA’s official website, we can easily make out that the Hindu traditions, practices and customs have been targeted by depicting the cruelty towards animals. However, this organisation conveniently avoids giving a piece of advice to the people in this country to put an end to animal slaughter on account of Bakri Eid. Moreover, it supports Halal meat. PETA is blatantly promoting ‘vegan milk’ despite the fact that it has not been approved by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) only to further the interests of the foreign firms. Hence it is quite important for the Central Government to keep an eye on all the activities PETA is involved with.
“We are a country where not only animals but also plants and nature are worshipped since ancient times, and hence there is no need here of any organisation like PETA”, said Mr. Narendra Surve, Spokesperson, HJS, Delhi. He further said, ”In the US itself 350 million of cattle, 120 million pigs, 30 million ducks and 70 lakh wolves get slaughtered every year. Hence, it’s important for PETA to concentrate on its home country to prevent such mass killings if it is really serious about animal welfare. Indian Dairy Industry is worth Rs. 7,000 billion. More than 100 million farmers supply milk to Amul and 70 million of them are landless. When PETA makes a grandiose suggestion of going ‘vegan’, it should also clarify what it plans to do for the 100 million farmers who are currently well supported by Amul. It should have also considered, how this ‘Vegan’ milk which costs around Rs. 400 per litre would be affordable to common Indian citizens at a time when cow’s milk is available here at Rs 45 per litre.
