Thane (Maharashtra) :  Every year the manifestation day of Gajanan Maharaj is celebrated at the Gajanan Maharaj temple here.  An exhibition of holy texts was organised on this occasion on behalf of Raigad branch of Sanatan Sanstha. There one girl curious about spirituality named Sumita Patil had come to the exhibition. Her neck adorned a necklace with a locket of Christian Cross. Noticing this, seeker of Sanatan Sanstha informed her as to ‘Why Hindus should not wear the Cross’.  She mentioned that the Cross was given to her by her friend. On getting informed she immediately removed the necklace bearing the cross. She purchased a Shri Ganesh’s pendent from the items displayed in the exhibition and wore it around her neck.
