#BoycottFacebook and #Ban_FB_In_India trends as Hindus protest against Facebook

In last few months, Hinduphobia of Facebook has been exposed after it removed pages and accounts of many pro-Hindu activists, leaders and Hindu organisations including Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Sanatan Sanstha, Sanatan Prabhat, Sudarshan TV, Shri. Suresh Chavhanke, BJP MLA Shri. T Rajasingh and many others. While Facebook allows running of pages and accounts on its platform that include fugitive jihadi terrorist Zakir Naik and many accounts that openly mock and insult Hindu Dharma and deities along with India.

To protest against such Hinduphobic behavior of Facebook. devout Hindus and patriotic citizens took to Twitter and started tweeting with hashtags such as #BoycottFacebook with appeal to boycott Facebook and #Ban_FB_In_India to demand ban on Facebook in India. More than 40,000 tweets were tweeted in the matter of few hours and both hashtags featured in top 10 trends on Twitter in India. Particularly #BoycottFacebook was at 3rd place for few hours.
