O Hindus, let us pay gratitude towards the God for this success !

Updates

‘Parle’ has stopped an advertisement of its product ‘Parle Mango-bite’, which was denigrating Shri Hanuman and Ramayana. The advt. was stopped due to lawful, but sustainable protest campaign started by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and it was also supported wholeheartedly by devout Hindus. Now ‘Parle’ has removed the said advt. from their website and also they will also be stopping broadcasting of the advt. from various TV channels. Now we appeal all Hindus to please stop the protest through e-mail or phone.

Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, HJS co-ordinator for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad district had sent protest letter to ‘Parle’, demanding to stop denigration of Shri Hanuman and Ramayana through the advt. After that, ‘Parle’ company invited delegation of HJS and devout Hindus at their Mumbai office. After the discussion between ‘Parle’ and HJS’ delegation, ‘Parle’ accepted all concerns raised by the Hindus and decided to stop the denigration through advt.

Dear Sir,

Subject : Request to withdraw the advertisement of ‘Mango bite’ denigrating Shri Hanuman and Ramayana.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is an NGO engaged in Nation building, educating people on Dharma (Righteousness) and Dharmacharan (Abiding by Righteousness), awakening and uniting Hindus using peaceful and lawful means. For details, please visit our website www.HinduJagruti.org. We had earlier stopped similar denigrating advertisements published by companies like M/s Cadbury India and M/s Amul; the details of the same are available on our website.

The advertisement of ‘ Mango bite ‘ has denigrated and insulted Shri Hanuman and our Holy Scripture ‘Ramayana’. The advertisement is seen on various TV channels and on your website – http://www.parleproducts.com/brands/parlemangobite/.

In this advertisement, it is shown as ‘Students are performing Ramayana scene; wherein Hanuman brings your mango-bite toffee as ‘Sanjivani’. There is a song and dialogue “Hanuman ke rassi tut gai; Parle mango-bite Aamki rasili goli; Sanjivani yaane Mango bite Hanuman laya etc.”

Please note that you have hurt religious sentiments of billions of Hanuman devotees. You have used Ramayana and Shri Hanuman for commercial purpose and distorted the Ramayana story. You have insulted and denigrated Shri Hanuman by personifying Him and making joke out of the same.

Your Mango bite has been compared with ‘Sanjivani’ which is very much insulting as Sanjivani brings back a dead person to life; whereas your mango bite can create viral infections. Please note that we use many Parle products and have regard for you.   However, we will have to reconsider use of your products in future; if you don’t stop this type of advertisement. Please note that M/s Parle Products has hurt Religious sentiments of billions of Hindus who will boycott your products resulting in your loss and defamation of your organisation. Hence it would be appropriate on your part to immediately withdraw such defamatory advertisement and render apology to all Hindus for hurting their religious sentiments.

Please acknowledge this letter and inform us in writing about action taken by you failing which we will be forced to start protest campaign and legal action against you. Awaiting your prompt action and reply.

Yours truly,
(S.G.Vatkar )
