Mumbai : Joint celebration of Shiv-jayanti by Shiv Sena, HJS

Mumbai : Shiv –jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm on behalf of Shiv Sena’s ‘shakha’ no. 193 on Arthur Road led by Mr. Rajesh Kusale and his colleagues; jointly with Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). The photo-exhibition set up by HJS on the life history of revolutionaries turned out to be the main attraction of the program.

An exhibition titled ‘Athavava Pratap’ was held from a day prior to Shiv-jayanti i.e. from 9th March 2012 jointly by Shiv Sena ‘shakha’ no. 193 and HJS. It was inaugurated by Shiv Sena’s municipal councilor, Mr. Ashish Chemburkar and Dr. Yogesh Bele by performing ‘puja’ of the picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and breaking of coconut. Mr. Chemburkar and Dr. Bele saw the exhibition and said that such exhibition should be held in every part of Mumbai as children will learn true history and will be motivated to do something for the nation. They also extended good wishes for HJS’ future activities.

A huge rally was taken out by Shiv Sena ‘shakha’ no. 193 from Saat Rasta, Bazar Gulli area on the day of Shiv-jayanti. Considering the growing response of people to the exhibition on 9th and 10th March, shakha-chief Mr. Kusale decided to extend the exhibition by one more day. Mr. Vilas Parab, the deputy chief of ‘shakha’ no. 193 of Shiv Sena, Sanjay Thakur, Sunil Mestri and Prem dada were present on the occasion.

Commending statements made by Shiv sena’s office bearers

1. Mr. Sunil Shinde, President, BEST Workers’ Union : The exhibition reminds one of the fights by Chhatrapati Shivaraya and revolutionaries. It is an invaluable treasure for future generations.

2. Mr. Arun Dudhwadkar, Shiv Sena municipal councilor, zone-219 : It is commendable that the glorious memories of revolutionaries, who made India’s name all over the world, have been revived among people in this manner.

3. Mr. Rajesh Kusale, shakha-chief, Shiv Sena shakha no. 193 : It is a very informative exhibition. It needs to be seen by every Hindu. I pray to Godess Jagadamba to bestow grace upon you and let your efforts to reach the fiery history of this country to every citizen be successful.

Mr. Vilas Parab, the deputy shakha-chief of Shiv Sena’s shakha no. 193, Mr. Sanjay Thakur and Mr. Sunil Mestry also extended their best wishes for HJS’ drive.
