Sriram-navami celebrated at Ashtami (Roha) by HJS

Roha (Maharashtra) : Sriram-navami festival was celebrated in Sriram temple as per the science at Ashtami (Roha). Ritualistic worship of Sriram, ‘abhishek’ and ‘aarti’ besides 3 hours of collective chanting was organized on this day. A lecture by Mr. Shrikant Joshi of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) was also arranged on the topic ‘Present condition of Nation and Dharma’.

Mr. Joshi said, “If we want to bring in ‘Ram-rajya’, then the country should be run as per the ideals set by Prabhu Sriramchandra before us. The present rulers are stuck in their self created swamp of corruption. It is futile to expect such rulers to rule this country like ‘Ram-rajya’. The current situation is as per the saying that ‘Yatha Raja Tatha Praja’ and ‘Jashi Praja tasa Raja’ (like king, like subjects and like subjects, like king). We do not do our duties like exercising our right to vote, stop denigration of deities etc. towards our Nation and Dharma. If we want to change this situation and bring in ‘Ramn-rajya’ , we should devote at least one hour every day for ‘Dharma-karya’.  The program was attended by about 200 people. The local residents gave their feedback that they liked the program very much.
