Rahata: On behalf of Shirdi Devasthan Trust, Shirdi Festival was organized to bid farewell to the passing Christian year. In this festival, a musical program of re-mix songs by POP singer Vaishali Samant was held. Along with POP music, the singer also sang bhajans of Sree Sai Baba. On the occasion of Christian New Year, the temple was kept open for the whole night for Sai-devotees.
After the program held during 9.00 p.m. to 12.00 mid-night, Sai-devotees welcomed the Christian New Year with chanting Sree Sai Baba’s name. Again late in the night, another POP musical program by Poonam Khanna and Parvati Khan was held. The Christian New Year was welcomed with bursting of crackers, playing digital music instruments, throwing ‘gulal’ and greeting each other with sweets.
