HJS’ effect: ‘Kopran’ and ‘Ten Sports’ assure to stop denigration

Mumbai: ‘Kopran Ltd’, a pharmaceutical company manufacturing ‘Smyle’ cough syrup has denigrated ‘Ramayana’, the holy epic of Hindus. The advertisement was being telecast on ‘Ten Sports’ channel. ‘Daily Sanatan Prabhat’ had published news in this context and Shri. Shivaji Vatkar and Shri. Madhav Deshpande, members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) met concerned officials of ‘Ten Sports’ channel at their office to register their protest. In a little while, the officials informed that they have stopped telecast of that advertisement.

Murtuza Madraswala from ‘Ten Sports’ channel sent an email informing withdrawal of the controversial advertisement. Later the members of HJS went to the office of ‘Kopran Ltd.’ and met its officials from the Marketing and Advertisement department. The members of HJS made them aware of the denigration of holy epic ‘Ramayana’ and gave them a representation in writing. The concerned officer assured HJS members that the advertisement would be withdrawn within two days. Later, HJS member warned the company that if they did not keep their word, HJS would start agitations against the advertisement.

Mockery of ‘Ramayana’ in an advertisement of a medicine

Mumbai: In an advertisement of the cough syrup manufactured by ‘Smyle’ company, there is a mockery of ‘Ramayana’. The advertisement is regularly shown on ‘Ten Sports’ channel. The advertisement has created uproar among all Hindus and they are protesting against the Ad.

The advertisement is of cough syrup. An incident from ‘Ramayana’ has been depicted in the Ad. It is shown that Lakshman is lying unconscious. There are Prabhu Sree Ram, Hanuman and sages sitting around him. The sages sent Hanuman to fetch ‘Sanjeevani’. Hanuman takes off in the direction of a mountain; but he brings the ‘Smyle’ cough syrup. Sages give medicine to Lakshman and he gets cured. Thereafter, Hanuman informs Sree Ram that he got ‘Sanjeevani’ in the form of ‘Smyle’ syrup. All the army of monkeys rejoices recovery of Lakshman.
