Girls will not think of suicide if they keep ideals of our great honourable women and follow the right path ! – Sou. Rajashree Tiwari, HJS
Tasgaon (Dist. Sangli) : A woman is not just a sumbol of mother’s power but she is also a symbol of courage and bravery. Gargi, Maitreyi, Kaikayi, Seeta, Bharatidevi, Ahilyabai Holkar, Rani Lakshmibai, Jijamata are some of its examples. They were not only loving mothers and took care of their families but they were also very good warriors and administrators. Today’s girl students should study the life history of such ladies and try to inculcate their qualities. Girls will keep themselves away from the thoughts of committing suicide if they keep ideals of these glorified ladies of Bharat, stated Sou. Rajashree Tiwari of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti while speaking on the topic of ‘Glorious history of Indian women’ organised by the Women Empowerment and Internal Evaluation Department during the 3 days special online lecture -series conducted recently at PDVP College. Women awakening valour in them is the only solution to fight against evil in society! – Kum. Pratibha Tavare, HJS
While speaking on the topic of ‘Shaurya-jagruti’, Kum. Pratibha Tavare of HJS said that our girls are going for higher education but in prevailing conditions, claiming that they were safe and secure, would be showing undue over-confidence. There is however, no provision in law to promptly punish for crimes against women’s persecution, therefore, crimes against women are increasing day by day; so, awakening valour in self is the only solution. Women need to get trained in use of sticks, karate etc for self-defence. Few voluntary organisations, besides HJS, are conducting free training on self-defence. All girls should join these classes.
It is necessary for today’s generation to study Indian culture to get right direction in life
While guiding on the topic of importance of ornaments and way of dressing under Indian culture, Smt. Madhura Tophkhane said that today people from all over the world are trying to study and follow Indian culture. Ornaments are not worn just to enhance beauty but wearing different ornaments on different parts of the body works like acupressure points on the body which creates positive energy. It also increases our enthusisam. Here, everyone is trying to emulate western culture. We need to therefore, study Indian culture and its greatness to show right path to our youth
