O Hindus, realize the ploy of Congress Govt. for taking over management of temples and be ready for establishment of Hindu Nation !

O Hindus, if boards of trustees of temples are going to be dissolved due to thefts in temples, then unitedly demand dissolution of the Govt. when incidents of thefts occur in the State !

Mumbai :  Whenever incident of theft takes place in any temple in the State, the State Government will immediately send a letter to the Charity Commissioner requesting him to dissolve the board of trustees. Then an administrator will be appointed and the temple will be taken over by the Government. The above information was given by Home Minister, R. R. Patil in an interview given to the English newspaper ‘Times of India’. The officers from Home Department confirmed the news on enquiry and informed that soon such proposal would be prepared by the Government. Taking cognizance of an incident occurred in the year 2006 during Shri Mandhardevi Fair in Satara District, the Government was to take over more than 4.5 lakhs of temples in the State; but devout Hindus had opposed the ploy; now the Government is once again thinking about taking over management of temples under the excuse of theft taking place in temples.

There were incidents of theft which took place in the ‘Suvarna Shri Ganesha Temple’ at Diveagar and Ambejogai Mandir in Beed district. In this background, the Home Minister had stated in the Legislative Council that cases would be filed against the Trustees of temples where thefts had occurred. He gave the above additional information in this context.

Temples should make arrangements for own security  In terms of the circular (Circular No. CII 1210/P No. 197 / Pol-12, Mantralaya, Mumbai – 400 032) , issued by the Home Department on 11th July 2011, instructions about – fitting cctv cameras in temples for security, fixing bells for vigilance, fitting of cameras which can video-record in darkness, provide enough light in crucial places in temples, keeping systematic data of the employees of temples, provide armed security for 24 hours if there is excess wealth in temples, strengthen the construction of walls, doors, windows of religious places have been given. These instructions are sent to all temples. The Home Minister said that the trustees of temples are not paying attention to these instructions. There are hundreds of temples in the State. It is not possible for the Government to provide police at every temple; therefore, the trustees should have their own security arrangements.” (It is the duty of the State Govt. to maintain law and order; but Mr. R R Patil has passed on the responsibilty to boards of trustees of temples and proved that he is not capable of running the State. Such corrupt and incompetent Congressmen should be ousted and Hindu nation (i.e divine kingdom, ‘Ram-rajya’, ideal State) should be established ! – Editor SP)

Cases to be filed against temple trustees who do not make security arrangements

The above circular has been issued to all police departments in every district and Charity Commissioners. The police officers from the district should take measures by giving instructions to temples stipulating certain time limit under clause 144 of Criminal Procedure Code for implementation. If the temple trustees do not undertake such measures, cases will be filed against them under clause 188 of Indian Penal Code for non-implementation of Govt. orders. If theft takes place in such temples due to non-abidance of instructions, board of trustees of the temple would be held responsible and it will be dissolved, informed the Government officer.

In the period of 4 years, more than 1300 incidents of theft/ robbery taken place in temples !

The State Government might be claiming of issuing such instructions but we have not received them, was the claim made by many trustees of the main temples. In the past 4 years, there have been 1341 incidents of thefts in temples involving crores of rupees. There is increase in incidents of theft. In terms of the above Government order, thousands of Hindu temples would be taken over by the Government. Already cases of misappropriation of funds are coming to light related to the temples under the management of the Government like Shirdi, Pandharpur and temples in Mumbai and Western Maharashtra , if other temples are also taken over by the Government, the cases of misappropriation would multiply, fear trustess of few temples.

Various temples oppose Govt.’s decision !

  • Mr. Jayant Sasane, former President, Shri Saibaba Sansthan, Shirdi : “We do not agree with the decision of the Government. Many trustees of temples and religious places are unable to make security arrangements on their own. Local police administration and trustees of religious places should jointly provide security to prevent thefts.”
  • Mr. Ravindran Mannanur, Chief, Keraliya Kshetraparipalan Samiti : “The Government provides more security and assistance to mosques and churches as compared to temples; therefore, incidents of theft are taking place more in temples. The gang behind these robberies should be traced and destroyed. There is no need to create problems for temples. Fifty big temples from South will unitedly oppose this stand of the Government.”
  • Mr. Girish Shah, Coordinator, Jain Temples : “This is the ploy of the Government to take over temples. The Home Minister himself says, “in big cities, small incidents like terrorism keep on happening.’ Despite fitting cctv in temples, thefts are still occurring. How can the trustees of temples be responsible for such thefts? The Government should create an awe over the robbers. The excuse given by the Government is superficial; but the ulterior motive is to take over management of temples.”
  • Mr. Mangalprabhat Lodha, BJP, MLA and representative, Jain temples: We will see to it that the Government will not interfere in matters related to temples.”
