‘Maha-aarati’ by Hindus against the kicking of Lord Hanuman idol

Kolhapur: Recently, a fanatic Muslim had created havoc in a Hanuman temple in Aurangabad by kicking the idol of Hanuman. He had beaten up the priest and raised slogans of ‘Allah-ho-Akbar’. To condemn this incident, local ardent Hindus performed ‘Maha-aarati’. After doing ‘Jayajaykar’ of/ acclaiming Sree Ganesh and Hanuman, two aaratis were sung and for ten minutes, the roads opposite the temple were blocked.

Shri. Madhukar Nazare, the convener of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) said that Hindu Dharma is attacked from all sides. Incidents like denigration of deities, mockery of national heroes has become common. The incident at Aurangabad shows that Muslims are striving hard for destruction of Hindu Dharma. Due to the ‘secular’ government in power, Muslims have become insolent. They are dictating terms to the Government. If Hindu Dharma is to be sustained, we have to stop Muslim audacity. Hindus have forgotten their duty towards their Gods, Dharma and Nation.
