Denigrating advt. removed from ‘makemytrip.com’ after HJS’ protest

An advertise was displayed on the makemytrip.com denigrating the scenes from Ramayana. Mrs. Mrunal S. Nanivadekar, HJS’ member from USA launch her protest against the said company. After her protest the denigrated advertise was removed and company apologize for it.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I saw your ad Chalo Lanka, in which the scenes from Ramayana are shown. You must be aware that Ramayana is the Holy scripture of the Hindus and Lord SriRam is the incarnation of Lord SriVishnu. Using Gods and Holy scriptures for the purpose of advertisements is denigration of God. Your ad has made a complete mockery of the Holy scripture by showing that Lord Hanuman has the trip plan designed by you inside his heart.

This is worse than humiliation of His devotion to Lord Ram. Today India is losing morality very fast and it is paying for it as well. Your ad will definitely contribute to increasing the speed of this loss of morality. Today if we make a mockery of our Gods, whom do we turn to in the times of trouble tomorrow? Also if we are disrespecting our Gods what message does the young generation learn from this? They are going to learn that anything is fair in “business” and “marketing”. If they lose respect for the Almighty Gods, will they be able to respect anything else ever? Your ads have terribly hurt my religious feelings. I request you to apologize and withdraw these ads immediately.
