Saints to form action committee to oppose anti-Hindu laws

Beed: A meeting to decide further course of action for protesting against the anti-Hindu laws proposed to be passed by the State Government, was held in the presence of H.H. Kalki Maharaj. About 70 eminent personalities including many saints, pravachankars, chief of State Hindu union, Dr. Veerendrasingh Tawade attended the meeting. A ‘Mahayoga Week’ has been conducted by the Mahayoga sampradaya founded by H. H. Kalki Maharaj. Saints and religious leaders from various districts went to Beed to attend programs organized during the week.

While explaining the objective of the meeting, H. H. Kalki Maharaj said, �Position of Dharma is very bad because although it gives us so much but in return, we do not give anything to Dharma. Creating awareness in masses towards their Dharma is the duty of every Hindu.� H. Mahant Amrutdasji Maharaj said that faith can never be blind. H. Dr. Uttam Maharaj stated that ANS is playing with Hindu feelings only because we are not united.

It was decided to hold a meeting of saints from 26th to 28th January at Beed and after the meeting, give a representation to the Chief Minister and the Dy. Chief Minister of Maharashatra. It was also decided that all saints will oppose the Bill at individual level, try to form an action committee of saints at State level, from the month of March 2007, plan different measures to create awareness among the people of Maharashatra and organize a huge march to protest the Bills at Vidhan Bhavan, Mumbai.
