No restriction over wearing any kind of clothes : Shri Mahalakshmi Temple Committee yielding to anti-Hindus
June 23, 2012
Kolhapur (Maharashtra) : It was published that a proposal was to be put up about the dress code while visiting Shri Mahalakshmi Temple that women would have to wear sari or ‘churidar’; but owing to the opposition of so-called reformers, it has been informed by Mr. Hanumant Suryavanshi, the secretary of ‘Paschim Maharashtra Devsthan Samiti (PMDS)’ that no such proposal was to be presented. (How can PMDS take decisions in the interest of devotees if it is yielding to pressure tactics of few anti-Hindus? Establishment of Hindu Nation is necessary to bring about a change in this situation. – Editor SP)
‘Dainik Pudhari’, a Marathi newspaper had published news about the said proposal few days back. It was mentioned in the news that there was a proposal to ban women from wearing ‘jeans, sleeveless or transparent dresses while visiting Shri Mahalakshmi temple for ‘darshan’. Following this, few reformists and media had given their responses against such proposal through newspapers. Pressure was exerted on PMDS under the guise of so-called reformists against the proposal. Now, PMDS has informed that such proposal would not be put up. (It is indicated by this incident that pro-Hindu activists should be alert about such matters. Pro-Hindu organizations should now take initiative for making a good decision and support PMDS so as to put up the above proposal ! – Editor SP)

Women will need to wear traditional attire when they visit Shri Mahalakshmi Temple at Kolhapur
June 20, 2012
Western Maharashtra Devsthan Samiti’s delayed wisdom !
Kolhapur (Maharashtra) : Now there will be restrictions on women visiting Sree Mahalakshmi Temple for ‘darshan’ wearing tight ‘jeans pants’ and sleeveless, transparent tops etc. Women will have to be attired in ‘sari’ or ‘churidar’ if they want to go to the temple to have ‘darshan’. The Western Maharashtra Devsthan Samiti (WMDS)’ is considering stipulation of such rules and will soon present the proposal in this regard. (The delay in taking right decision by WMDS should be compensated by early implementation. – Editor SP)

Tight and transparent clothes worn by women attract attention of the youth leading to disturbing sanctity of the temple; therefore, such decision is being taken. (Lack of ‘Dharma-shikshan’ in Hindus is the cause of women daring to wear such type of clothes while visiting temples! The devout Hindus should make a demand with the State Govt. for imparting ‘Dharma-shikshan’ so that need for imposing such restrictions will not arise – Editor SP) Men will also have to wear ‘sovale (Indian traditional attire of men)’ to enter ‘sanctum sanctorum’. The members of WMDS are insisting for such traditional Indian attire for maintaining sanctity of the temple. ‘Dainik Pudhari’ has published the above news.
