Mumbai: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held a meeting with Temple Trustees and Hindus in Andheri, a suburb of Mumbai to decide further course of action in the context of proposed act for taking over management of temples.
Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, the Mumbai district coordinator of HJS explained the details of various clauses in the proposed act. He said that Mohammad of Ghazni attacked India 17 times and looted our country. Similarly, now the State Government after taking over management of Saibaba temple in Shirdi, Sree Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai and Lord Vitthal temple in Pandharpur, is planning to take over all temples. Most of the trustees of temples in the area attended the meeting.
