Jalgaon (Maharashtra) : Maharashtra Government is trying to pass the anti-superstitions Act bowing before Andha-shraddha Nirmulan Samiti (ANS). An agitation was staged by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to oppose the said Act and it received spontaneous response from Hindus. H.B.P. Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Patil (Jalakekar) graced the occasion with his presence. A representation was submitted to the District Collector after the agitation.

H.B.P. Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Patil criticized the Chief Minister and Dy. Chief Minister for attending ‘Mahapuja’ at Pandharpur while trying to pass this Act. Mr. Gulabrao Patil, a leader of Shiv Sena said, “The Government is trying to pass this Act for the past 5 years. All parties including Congress are against passing of this Act. If this Act attacking Hindu Dharma is passed, there will be outrage of Hindus.”
Advocate Govind Tiwari, the zonal Vice President of Hindu Mahasabha, Mr. Prakash Patil of Shiv Sena from Paladhi, Dist. Jalgaon, Mr. Amol Shinde of weekly ‘Warakari Vichar’, Mr. Ravindra Hembade of ‘Dainik Saamnaa’, Mr. Rajumama Bhole, a councilor of Municipal Corporation, Mr. Hemant Shinde of Sanatan Sanstha, Mr. Dattatreya Waghulde of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and many pro-Hindu activists took part in the agitation.
