HJS create awareness amongst people to prevent such abuse of National Flags |
Khanda Colony (Panvel) :
Plastic National Flags are used extensively on the days of national festivals. After flag-hoisting, however, these plastic flags are found lying on the roads, in gutters in torn condition. Activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) undertook a drive at Khanda Colony in Panvel to create awareness amongst people to prevent such abuse of National Flags.HJS, which is engaged in creating awareness towards many issues involving national welfare and protection of Dharma, distributed copies of representation to the owners of shops like Sanchaya, Ashapura, Lovely Collection, Student, Kalpana etc. in that area for not keeping plastic national flags on sale. The shopkeepers responded positively to the drive and promised to stay away from selling plastic national flags. HJS activists viz. Mr. Balwant Pathak, Ajay Khot, Pravin Khot, Miss Jyotsna Manval etc. took part in the drive. The handbills were sponsored by the owner of shop named ‘Student’.
