Desecration of Shrikrushna idols at Pen; enraged citizens

When preparations of celebrating ‘Gopal-kala’ are going on everywhere in the town, it was observed on Tuesday that hundreds of idols of Shrikrushna were thrown in garbage-bin. Citizens are enraged against those who have desecrated the idols in such manner. Mr. Mahesh Pore, the city-chief of Shiv Sena from Pen learnt about the incident and he brought it to the notice of Police. It was also demanded to file cases against those who are throwing idols in garbage.

Pen town is famous for sculpture. There are many factories in Pen town and taluka making idols. Idols damaged while making are thrown on roads or in garbage and such incidents are on rise. Mr. Pore made an appeal to immerse such idols in river water rather than throwing them anywhere. (Look at Muslims who make hue and cry if they see a torn page of ‘Quran’ ; whereas anti-Dharma Hindus are desecrating idols by throwing them in trash!  Lack of ‘Dharmashikshan’ amongst Hindus is the reason that they are so indifferent about their seats of worship ! – Editor)
