About 140 years ago, Balojinath had consecrated the Datta idol and ‘Paduka’ in this temple. In the month of Sharvan, religious programs are held in the temple everyday between 9.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. and the temple is closed after performing ‘aarti’. Mr. Narvekar informed Mr. Manohar Patil about the theft. Police brought dogs-squad from Ratnagiri to trace the culprits; but no clue could be found with the help of dogs.
