Dhar (Madhya Pradesh) :
The three-member delegation of BJP MPs, that visited the disputed Bhojshala premises here on Monday claimed that all evidence at the site indicated that it was a temple and charged Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh of "politicising the issue to appease a particular community".

Talking to reporters after the visit, the delegation comprising Shivrajsingh Chouhan, S S Ahluwalia and Balbir Punj said "a number of evidences, including a sign of Om Namah Sivay, Om Namah Saraswati Namah inscribed on the stone, and a location of temple main gate in the eastern direction for sunlight, among others, suggested that the Bhojshala is a temple and not a mosque".

"The fact that there were markings of Shri Yantra at the entrance itself, suggested that the structure is a Hindu temple and not a mosque," they added.

The BJP has deputed the delegation to assess the on-the-spot situation of the disputed structure and seek the opinion of the people with regard to the Bhojshala structure.

The delegation would discuss the issue with the people of the Dhar city.

"Except for the Chief Minister, no one else, including the local leaders of Dhar, is opposing the opening of Bhojshala for the Hindus," they claimed and said Singh was making statements with regard to Bhojshala with an eye on the polls.
