Worship Shri Ganesha idols made of clay and preserve environment : Appeal by MMC

Mumbai : Dr. Kishore Kshirsagar, the deputy Commissioner of Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC) has made an appeal to Shri Ganesha devotees to worship idols made of clay and help in preserving the environment.

With the initiative of Shri Siddhivinayak Trust and Nirmaljyot Charitable Trust, an exhibition of Shri Ganesha idols made of clay is being held in temple premises till 31st  August between 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.  so as to make available clay idols to the devotees. MMC is trying to preserve ecological balance by motivating devotees to use more and more idols made of clay. The organizers of this exhibition have created a website www.ecoganesha.org to give detailed information and have made an appeal to devotees to visit the website.
