Dombivali (Maharashtra) : ‘Ganesha Tea’ company had advertised its product wherein Shri Ganesh was shown in cartoon form advertising for tea by riding on a scooter, The ‘flex’ boards of this advertisement were displayed at various places like railway station, BEST bus-stops etc. This had hurt religious sentiments of Hindus.
Mr. Ajay Sambhus and Mr. Narendra Surve, activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) contacted Mr. Rajesh Gala, the owner of the Company regarding the issue of denigration and explained to him about how it is wrong to use Shri Ganesh in such form for advertising of any products. Mr. Gala accepted his mistake and assured of making changes in the advertisement using Ganapati’s picture sitting on proper wooden seat.
